They call the Copper Basin “Too great for one state,” and after spending time here, it’s easy to see why. Between the riverfront, the shops, and the growing food and brewery scene, this has become one of my go-to stops when riding through North Georgia.

It’s the kind of place where you roll in planning a quick stop… and end up spending a few hours.

A laid-back, roomy brewery that’s perfect for relaxing after a ride. Copperhill Brewery consistently delivers a strong lineup of craft beers in a welcoming, no-pressure environment.

They’ve recently stepped things up by becoming a brewstillery, now operating as part of Ocoee Distillery, so you’ll also find spirits alongside their beer offerings—nice bonus if you’re mixing things up.

Whether you’re throwing darts, catching trivia night, or just kicking back, the vibe here is always solid. Friendly staff, good crowd, and plenty of space make it an easy place to stay longer than planned.

Another great brewery option right in town, Buck Bald Brewing has a slightly smaller, more local feel—and that’s part of its charm.

It’s a great stop if you’re brewery hopping, and easy to pair with Copperhill Brewery without moving your bike.

The food is solid across the board—American favorites, craft beer, and wine—but the real draw is the deck overlooking the river. Sitting out there after a ride is hard to beat.
