Copperhill Brewery & Ocoee River Distilling
Right in the heart of Copperhill, Tennessee, you’ll find one of the coolest concepts in the region—a true brewstillery. Copperhill Brewery and Ocoee River Distilling operate side-by-side, offering both craft beer and craft spirits under one roof.
It’s the best of both worlds. Whether you’re in the mood for a cold pint after a ride or looking to sip on a locally distilled whiskey or cocktail, this place makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile.
The New Riverfront Location
One of the biggest upgrades to this stop is the new location directly on the Ocoee River—and it’s a game changer.
They used to be located up the road on the corner, but this move puts them right in the middle of the action. You can now grab a drink, head outside, and take in the scenery with the river flowing just steps away. On a warm day, don’t be surprised if you see people floating by in tubes, adding to the laid-back, mountain-town energy.
It’s the kind of place you plan to stop for one… and end up staying awhile.
Note: They still operate their original Ducktown Brewery and Distilling location, but it’s typically only open to the public one day per week, so the Copperhill riverfront spot is where most of the action is now.

The Spirits – Ocoee River Distilling
Right alongside the brewery is the distillery side of the operation, adding a whole different dimension to your stop.
They produce a variety of spirits including:
Whiskey
Moonshine
Vodka
Seasonal or specialty releases
You can enjoy them neat, in cocktails, or sample a few to find your favorite.
🍺 The Beer – Copperhill Brewery
Copperhill Brewery brings a solid lineup of approachable, well-crafted beers. From easy-drinking lagers to darker, more robust options, there’s usually something for everyone.
Sunrock Pick:
👉 Penitentiary Porter – smooth, rich, and one of the standout beers here. Easy to drink but still full of flavor.
They rotate taps fairly often, so even if you’ve been before, there’s a good chance you’ll find something new. It’s a laid-back vibe—no pretension, just good beer done right.
It’s also worth noting that Ocoee River Distilling is a woman-owned business, which makes supporting this stop even better.
Pro Tip: If you’re riding with a group, this is a great place because not everyone has to be a beer drinker.
Atmosphere, Events & Food
This place has quickly become one of the main attractions in Copperhill, and it’s easy to see why.
Live music regularly
Line dancing nights
Trivia nights
Food truck on-site with a solid lineup of American favorites
Full cocktail options using their in-house spirits
There’s always something going on, and it carries a strong local community vibe without feeling overcrowded or touristy.
Not Just for Riders
If you’re not on the bike, this is still a fantastic spot to spend some time.
It’s a family-friendly atmosphere where you can kick back, hang out by the river, and just enjoy the day. There’s usually space to spread out, and it’s the kind of place where you can:
Toss a few games of cornhole
Grab some food and relax outside
Sit by the water and watch the world go by
Between the open space, steady flow of activity, and relaxed vibe, it works just as well for a casual afternoon with family as it does for a stop during a ride.
Rider Notes
This spot is very motorcycle-friendly and an easy stop if you’re riding anywhere near Copperhill, McCaysville, or the Ocoee area.
Parking is generally easy around town
Behind the main strip, there are areas where a few bikes can slip in easily
The whole area is relaxed and welcoming to riders
Dog-Friendly + Take Some Home
Bringing your pooch along? You’re in luck—this spot is dog-friendly, just like many of the breweries in the area.
That said, keep it respectful:
Make sure your dog is well-behaved
Keep them under control around other guests
Be mindful—nobody wants to deal with an aggressive or unruly pup
When you’re getting ready to wrap things up, don’t forget to grab something to go.
One important note: there are very limited places in this area where you can purchase liquor to-go—and this is one of them.
Whether it’s a few cans from Copperhill Brewery or a bottle from Ocoee River Distilling, it’s a great way to support a local business and bring a little piece of the trip back to the cabin with you.
